Objective
Allow members to contribute selected Google Photos photographs
and use supported Google Photos Library API capabilities.
Scope
- Google Photos integration feasibility investigation
- Member authorization and explicit photo selection through Picker API
- Selected-photo import into nextofkinphotos
- Duplicate handling, progress, failures, and retry
- Explicit upload to Google and management of app-created content
through Library API
Completion criteria
- A member can select and import existing Google Photos pictures.
- Cancellation and authorization failures are handled clearly.
- Retry does not create unintended duplicates.
- Imported photographs remain available after temporary URLs expire.
- Library API operations stay within app-created content limitations.
- Family sharing is enforced by nextofkinphotos permissions.
